Are you still growing your email list?

The Reality

Lets face it, with all the new ways of communicating, growing your email list can fall by the wayside. So much time is focused on other platforms that you don’t focus on growing your email list or you simply quit.

Lets Fix That

  • Grow your email by giving your expertise for free in exchange for their email.
  • Like the saying goes, “the right time and right place” is also a saying when asking for an email on your site.
  • Ask at first contact.

What Can You Offer Your Future Leads In Exchange For Their Email?

If the prospect is a first time home buyer, an example could be a downloadable pdf file that explains a step by step process on purchasing a new home. Remember that you are the expert. Share something insightful.

Once that is ready to be downloaded you can set up a CTA (call-to-action) to collect the information you need. Set a pop up at an exit screen attempt and another at the end of your written piece. You shouldn’t offer your guide for new home buyers on a blog about investment homes. A perfect time would be at the end of the page after reading something about buying a home for the fist time or something relevant.

Social media is definitely another place to ask for emails following the same guideline of give in exchange for the information needed.

Don’t lose the opportunity to ask while you have a prospect you are speaking with.  If someone requests information about your business, tell the prospect that you would like to share a link with them and need their email to send it to them. In that email send your IABS and get that out of the way.

Of course, there is another million creative ways to collect emails. These are a few you can start with, and are essential for your foundation. If you know of other creative ways, I would love to hear your thoughts and ideas in the comments.

To your growth and success.
